The Burton Street PTA is hosting its 6th Annual Winter Read-A-Thon during the upcoming February Break! For nine days (Feb 15 - 23), we are encouraging your child to read at least 20 minutes a day. All students will be eligible to earn prizes just by submitting their reading minutes!
In addition to supporting your child's education through reading, the Read-A-Thon is also a fun and rewarding way to raise funds for the many activities sponsored by the PTA. Students can ask family and friends to pledge a "flat amount" or "per minute amount" to encourage their reading efforts. Please note... All parents who wish to set-up an online donation page for their child will need to provide consent using the Google form linked to the right (submit a form for each child participating). This will allow the PTA to add your child to the 99 Pledges website to accept online donations from family and friends. If you prefer not to set-up an online donation page, you can still accept pledges via cash or check using the paper form that will be sent home with your child (or print a copy using the link to the right). Additional details, a minutes tracker, and a paper donation form will be coming home in your child's backpack next week... please be on the lookout!
